I am the guy who quit a full time sales job where I made $700,000 my last year with the company. I did not get fired, my position was not eliminated and I was in no way asked to leave. In fact, the company put an even bigger pile of money on the table to make me stay. And I said no..
The year before I quit my job to do internet marketing full time I was interviewing accountants to help me with my side income. That year I was on track to make $400,000 per year from my full time job. I had told this potential accountant what I was making and how much I had made in previous years. She basically wanted to know if I was high on something. She looked at me with the most serious accountant loo that you can imagine and said "Are you sure you want to quit that job - that is an awful lot of money?" Yes I was serious and no I did not hire her.
I know many of you are looking to create a new life and the path to riches through internet marketing. You are about to learn about the real side of internet marketing from a guy who had more money than he actually could spend and walked away from it.
The good news for you is that put me in the position of having more money than brains. You name the product and I probably own it. If I do not own it - I can probably get it for free and use / review it. I can promise you this - if you see me actually recommend a product or service it is because I actually use it.
And finally this. Many people have asked me "why not do internet marketing on the side and keep you your high paying full time position?". Great question. I credit Tim Ferris.. My wife blames Tim Ferris. If you have not heard of Tim, he is the gentleman who wrote a book entitled "The 4 Hour Work Week". There are a lot of things you can take away from Tims book. Here was my take away. Life is too short and God did not put you on this planet to work 40 to 60 hours a week at a job, only to wait until your declining years of health to start enjoying it. Enjoy it now.
