     Hi,

     You are right that many who make money from selling "how to make money ebook" via the internet. But if you look at it, selling these ebooks via internet is also a form of internet marketing. It is internet marketing; they are making money selling something online.

     There are many more ways to make money online. Choose carefully, do lots of research because while many people make money over the internet, many lost their money as well.

   How would I know if my topic I am writing about is targeting the right niche marketing?
   Example: I want to market an ebook on supertips about in affilaiate marketing, no specific type of affiliate marketing.

     You could be more successful by doing market research into your potential target niche markets. If you research the market niches that seem best, to find out what the people in each niche are thinking, you then know which niche is best and what to write.

     In other words, don't write your ebook first and then try to find a niche market to try to sell it into. Instead, first find the niche market that's best for you to write for (fewest competitors, best keywords, enough market size, topics you understand, best info on what people are thinking, etc., etc.) - only then do you write your ebook, specifically talking to exactly what the members of that market are thinking.

     To sell online you need to find out what people want and then deliver it better than your competition does.

     You may think you know what to write for affiliates, but you'll do better if you get real insight into their needs and desires and address those directly in your writing.

     So how do you do this market research?
     Find out affiliate's needs, fears, frustrations, desires and other motivations by:
     1. Reading their forum posts. After you find a few with certain "need words", do a forum search to find more of those and dig deeper.

     2. Just ask in affiliate forums what people's biggest problems and frustrations with affiliate marketing are. You might be surprised how much you can learn by just asking.

     3. Make a fast one-page blog and put a survey on it, asking affiliates what their biggest problem is. After you get 300-400 responses, you'll have a decent statistical sample and can stop advertising it. Advertise your survey blog on affiliate forums and (by far the best yet if you can afford it), with Google AdWords PPC. PPC can be very expensive long-term, but you only need to get 300 responses, then you can pause or delete your PPC campaign. Use an online survey service to setup your survey and to track your results in their database.

     3. A bit of online searching for more free or inexpensive online market research methods will turn up more good ideas.

     you need to have free brandable content, that is valuable.

     and distribute it on various file sharign sites, then when people come to your site for content, you give them more content in return for their email lists.

     after that you send them email with some good content, do that 3 times, after fourth email send them content, but add link to your ebook, telling them how to buy.

      Besides Traffic Geyser, there is a free service called Tube Mogul. It works in much the same way. Additionally there is a software package I found called Tube Mastery (http://www.websitemarketingskills.com/recommends/TubeMastery) which works really well in terms of how to market on YouTube. The same basic information is true on the other sites, as well. Use your profile page to link to your site and use calls to action to get people to respond. I would just buy that program and familiarize yourself with it.

    Can I sell an ebook on clickbank? Can I, like post it on clickbank and then people might sell it for me (affiliate marketing)? and if I can do this, do I need my own website to do this?

    • ANSWER:
      You do have to have your own website if you are going to sell on Clickbank. It also has to be a paid website meaning it cannot be a "free" one.

      I ran into that issue when I got my e-book published through them so I had to pay around to GoDaddy.com for hosting then clickbank approved my e-book.

      Then you can set up the affiliate marketing for your book.

      The approach I would take is to simply start emailing them. I have done it in the past with decent success, and I have found that many successful marketers are very nice people!

      1. You sound like a used car salesman, not like someone who wants to help me out. You voice has too much of a salesman quality to it.

      2. You can't read the text on the spreadsheet or on the webpages you are showing.

      3. You need a stronger intro at the beginning of the video.

    I'm writing an ebook on how to make legitimate money online. Before you lecture me about how it's not possible, please read the rest.

    I'm not going to make claims that my readers will become rich. I'm not going charge a million dollars for this ebook. I legitimately want to help people find ways to make some extra cash and I just want to be reasonably compensated for my efforts. I will be going into detail on tried and tested ways (ebay, affiliate marketing, etc) to make money and giving tips and tricks to using these.

    So as I start writing I'd like your opinion. First of all, would you buy this if it was cheap enough? What would you consider a reasonable price? How long would you like the book to be, and are there any subjects you'd like to see included? And lastly, what could I do to convince you that this is not a scam?

      I wouldn't buy it and here is why. There are plenty of reviews, tips and tricks available online for free, so there is no reason for people to buy it. People want a specific plan that is easy to follow. If I were you here's what I would do. I would write the ebook and give it away for free. I would find good clickbank and rapbank products that give specific training on the things you mention in the book and include affiliate links to those products. The other alternative is to become an expert yourself at one or more of your money making suggestions and write more detailed ebooks about methods and simple step by step systems. Either way you go you will really have to bust your butt and learn to market your ebook(s). There's a link to a good, free training program on my profile.

      Online classifieds are a very competitive niche. I'd recommend that you use traditional advertising to generate traffic locally, then grow from there nationally using print classifieds.

      For a relatively small fee you can advertise nationally using classifieds. Because you are going to have a broad range of products or topics to promote, your central message will likely have to be "onine classifieds" or "free classifieds", instead of a specific product.

      Then from there build your site awareness. You've got your work cut out for you. However if you have the resources hire an outside firm to handle your marketing. However, your in a profitable business model if you can grow your site's popularity.

      People can sell you on their programs and I could give you e-books all day long, but in the end you really need to learn from someone that is making money already and is will to teach his methods to you. There is so much to learn, that you become overwhelmed. That's why step by step instruction and Patience helps. You will start off slow, just like every else, but how would you like to build your own website, learn to market your own products, and get traffic that converts into sales. It's like getting your very first car. If nobody taught you to drive it, you probably wouldn't go very far. If you want to go far in affiliate marketing my friend's link is at the bottom.       You can totally make money with that niche if you can get ranked well in Google search index, and or find some good targeted and cheap keywords for a Pay per click ad campaign.

      Clickbank.com has plenty of good dog training ebooks that pay you 50 - 75 % of the sale as commission.

      Like anything on the web, it's all about volume and targeted traffic.

      There's plenty of people doing it already though, so you'd better research your keywords, and find some that aren't discovered by too many others yet.

      I am not sure when affiliate marketing became illegal at all. This is what you are looking for. It is totally legal to pay referrers to send people to your site and/or to sell your product. Basically, it is the same as paying someone for commissioned sales of a product so I can't see how that is considered illegal in any case if you pay what you promise. Good luck to you!

      1) costs nothing and is exactly the same concept as Yahoo Answer, except they pay you for your time. and
      2) Is a site for selling photos on-line which only costs US for 6 months to join. Each photo is sold for a min

    Regarding minors and jobs..?
    Hi. I must first clarify that I am in fact sixteen, and I've been looking on the internet for a while now trying to find ways to make money. I've come across tons of different things, but there's one that caught my interest; and that's affiliate marketing.

    It is a potential gold mine, because not only is the money just sitting there waiting to be taken, just for advertising someone elses product, but it's so effortless. I don't know much about HTML, but I've come across a program called "wysiwyg web builder" and it truly works miracles. It stands for "What you see is what you get". And that could not be more true.

    I've learned a lot of these little tips through the "Rich Jerk", who is rude and concieted, but more honest than any other "guru" out there. He has an ebook, which is near perfect..

    But all this boils down to one thing, can I do anything with all this considering that I'm a minor? I cannot even open a normal bank account yet. It's infuriating!

    Cindy, you may question the validity of this, but the truth is thousands of people make money this way.

    No one here is saying that it's easy or fast, though if you do it well, the effort you put in pays off much better than any ordinary job.

    I do not and never will suffer through school. It's an absurd waste of my mental capacity, and I feel sorry for anyone who is there by force.

      Okay... simple solution here. I even answered this for another kid that was 15 a few weeks ago! Talk to your parents and have them help you with your endeavor. Find a really good affiliate program that costs nothing for you to be a member to... and then do some research about website promotion for free or low cost.

      I included the link to my website below... it has a link to the affiliate advertising network that I belong to by clicking the banner ad at the top. They are totally free and only make money when you do...

      Your parents can open a bank account for you. I suggested to the other kid that he negotiate a partnership with his parents so that they split the income coming in, until your 18th birthday when you can sign up and have your parent(s) account switched over to your name.

      Your parents will make a little extra money, you'll make great money for being a minor, and all of it with little or no expense. I've spent a little over 0 to get myself started with them (includes website purchase, website hosting fee, and a few applications that I was able to get from developers online) and have already earned that back after my first month.

      DO YOUR RESEARCH before you start. You want to know exactly how your can drive traffic to your website before you start paying for it. It will allow you and your parents to feel less stress than I did... I crammed all of my learning in about two weeks. =)

    Is blogging a bad way to make money?
    I'm starting to think, after 18 months, that blogging is a horrible way to make money. My ROI in terms of time and money spent is almost nil. I make pennies on adsense and that's it.

    So the problem. I'm at a crossroads. I have about 200 subscribers, PR 3, and about 200 visitors per day and I'm thinking about scaling up the blog. Adding a forum, writing an ebook in exchange for email and name, using aweber to build an email list, affiliate marketing, etc, go nuts basically. But this niche does not allow me to show myself, pics, videos because it could hurt me in the 'real world'. So I feel limited.

    So I have a choice start all over with a new blog project in a different niche were it is ok (i.e. socially acceptable) to show myself and not worry about hiring/job problems or something later and have the ability to brand myself. And I'd like to select a bigger niche with more potential.

    OR

    Say screw it and go in a completely opposite direction and go to ebay and amazon and try retail (although given the economic state who knows).

    Man I am frustrated. Your detailed thoughts please.

    Looking for enlightenment from Clickbank and Paydotcom affiliates. All experience levels. Won't you share?
    Are you an affiliate with Clickbank or Paydotcom? Have you ever promoted an ebook?

    If so, I'd like to know what your initial criteria is for selecting an ebook. Do you look to be familiar with the subject? Do you look at the commission only? Do you look for a professional looking vendor website first, or it does it matter at all? Are there subjects you don't promote?

    These are general knowledge questions so you get the idea of what I'm after. I'm looking for the "current state of the art" of ebook promotion. I'm not really looking for freebie methods, or list gathering techniques, or things like that. I'm looking for the information that helps affiliates decide whether they would or would not choose to push a specific genre of ebook (regardless of what that genre is).

    If you have some experiences and specific web pages that are still up and active for show-and-tell (I know this is a fickle market and websites sometimes don't last), please share them here.

    While we're on the subject of both Clickbank and Paydotcom, how do I get affiliates from both sites on-board? Isn't the ordering button (on my future sales site) made for one company or the other? Does this mean that if I pick CB then I can't go with Paydotcom? Is it important to pick one or the other early on, or is there a way to have both on a sales page?

      I don't really care if I know the topic because I do direct linking with PPC first. If this proves to be a winner, I will then spend the time and resources to build websites.

      Here are some of criteria that are important to me:

      1) I look for relatively high gravity. Not the ones that are ranked the highest as there will be far too many competition.

      2) Commissions more than to make the promotion efforts worthwhile.

      3) Check if there is high refund rates. You can search online for Clickbank refund calculator.

      4) Look at the sales page, do they convert well? Strong headlines? Depending on the market, long sales letter usually fare better. Do they have social proofs and testimonials? Are the graphics professional?

      5) Is this a good niche to go in? Are there many similar ebooks producted in the same niche? If yes, that means money can be made.

      6) Are there advertisers who are willing to pay money to advertise for this niche? Check google for sponsored link ads. If yes, that means money can be made.
