Successful affiliates create valuable content that actually answers the question(s) people are asking about a certain product or service. For example, if you search Google for "buy shoes online", you'll find 10,900,000 pages that offer info. If you click on one of the sites offering Zappos shoes, then actually purchase a pair of Zappos, the Zappos affiliate that owns the site you clicked on will earn a small commission from Zappos. This action does not increase the price of your shoes.

You probably already know what http://clickbank.com has the best opportunities because they do all software and the commissions are fairly high.I am trying it myself and am just starting. I am going get into public records and see how that works out. Clickbank's programs in that area havde about - $ 25 commission per sale. I'll try advertising on AdWords and see what kind of ROI I get. You should use the paid option of http://wordtracker.com to come up with narrowed keywords if you plan to advertise with AdWords like I am.

Why is success so hard to achieve?
I've tried it all. I've tried selling on Ebay and Amazon. Tried opening my own online shop, I've tried affiliate marketing and blogging.I've had somewhat success with Ebay and Amazon but they both RAPE me on the fees so it's like I'm set up to fail!
It's not in my nature to give up, but it just seems like there is no light at the end of the tunnel when it comes to entrepreneurial success.
I'm so sick of failing and I just can't stand working for other people. I hear stories of people starting business's and making fortunes and I'm stuck here saying WTF?
I know, nobody is going to give it me but why is it so hard? Why does God have to be a dick?

You are trying in the wrong areas.From what you have listed, there are hundreds or thousands of competitors doing the same thing. They are all trying to get rich selling the same stuff fromthe same places.
In order to truly suceed, you need to develop a business around an idea or service where there is not much competition. You must also keep an eye out for the future as once you start doing well, others will try to copy you.
Success is not easy and it has different meaning to different people.
My business has changed over the 18 years I have operated it. We have moved into different areas, then when it got too competitive or the internet killed our sales we looked at something that complemented what we were already doing.
It is alot of hard work. You just have to be willing to work hard and be creative.
The affliate marketing. blogging, etc only makes money for the people on top. Be prepared for lots of "answers" that have links to show you how to make easy money. As you already know, most are scams.

Personally if I had to start over I would try to find a mentor to help you out. Maybe you will find a course that makes you a lot of money, likely not though. Spend the extra money for a personal mentor or find a group of affiliates in your local area. If you do decide to buy a product that promised to show you how to make a lot of money, focus on that for a couple months, do not continue to buy product after product.
