Affiliate marketing has become one of the most explosive new ways to earn a living online in years. Many have quit their regular jobs to earn full time incomes by marketing products or services on the internet. If you're thinking about it yourself, there are a few tips that may help you keep on the right track. Here they are:
(1). Set some good clear goals. Many people think this part is too corny. But the smart successful people know that it's totally not. If you set a goal, you'll have a point of focus that can help drive your bus, if you get my drift. Even if it's just to earn an extra 0 a month, then set it, and go for it. It gives you something to aim at, that is going to help you in becoming successful in one way or another.
(2). Another thing is to stay focused on just one thing. Too many people fail because they take on way too many tasks at once. In the end, if they'd stay focused on one way of doing things until they got it right, they'd still be in the game and way ahead of where they are now. And when you find something that works for you, then work it. Find variations of it, that work as well. If something doesn't work, dump it and try something else. In the end, build yourself a successful working model.
(3). Take the time to step back every now and then and review what you've done, and analyze how you got here. This will help you to see if there was any way you could have done it better or gotten here faster. Be honest in your self-evaluations, and be realistic too. There's nothing wrong with scrapping something you believed in at the beginning. It simply shows that you've grown in knowledge and are ready to move on to something that will work.
(4). Along with your goal, set a time frame on it as well. 0 in one month is good because it will cause you to push for better results within that time frame. Once you achieve this, you can move on to more money, with less time. You just have to have a place to start, and a time to push for. Once a month have a look back at what you've done. Have that honest open talk with yourself we discussed above and write down your progresses and failures. Failures are something we MUST do once, then grow from them. They are nothing more than 'growing' seeds. Without them, you wouldn't learn. So plow your ground and plant your seeds. You can do affiliate marketing with the right attitude, patience and determination.
Affiliate marketing is by far one of the most awarding online ventures you could seek. If done correctly you could make a lot of money online while working from the comfort of your own home. That's just the way it is.

QUESTION:
Is affiliate marketing success possible?
So you see a bunch of affiliate marketing gurus that say they make millions of dollars a year, but this is not the norm for most people that get into affiliate marketing. In fact, I have read that only 5% of people who do affiliate marketing stick with it and earn any kind of real money from it. So, has anyone out there that is not a "guru" had any affiliate marketing success? I am trying to decide if it is worth it to get my hopes up that I can make any real money from it.-
ANSWER:
I am right there with you on the so-called gurus who make millions of dollars and live in mansions and have their own jets misconception. I have come across several of them that brag about what they have and what they make but then their products absolute suck and don't tell you anything! Here's my story and I am an average everyday guy who was able to quit my 9-5 job (or should I say 3-11 job) to become an Internet marketer. I went to a technical school and learned computer repair and was able to get a job at a help center for a computer software company. I worked from 3-11 and I never saw my wife who worked from 9-5.
The job paid ok (enough to pay the bills) but the hours were killing me and dealing with some of the callers we got, soon wore on my nerves. One of the guys I worked with told me about affiliate marketing and he was getting into it part-time to make some extra money on the side. I was interested and started to look into and decided that it was something that I could part-time as well.
It started out slow at first with a few hundred dollars here and there. But then my wife got pregnant and I knew that I had to make more money in order to support all three of us. I put in every second of every day making my sites and promoting them. I did article writing, SEO optimization techniques, and researched every Internet marketing strategy guru I could find.
That's when I came upon Matt Bacak's site www.mattbacak.com and was blown away by his insight and techniques. I learned from his newsletter that I could spend a lot less time and put my sites on auto pilot and still have them make money. The amazing this is is that he was totally right and now I am making nearly six figures a year.
If there is one guru out there that is worth listening to, it is Matt. He has made his millions, but is still humble and willing to give out invaluable nuggets of advice to anyone who will listen. I highly recommend him as a mentor. I did and it paid off big time.

QUESTION:
Has anyone really had any affiliate marketing success?
I am so frustrated with affiliate marketing. I have been trying to make it as an affiliate marketer for almost a year now. I do it part-time and probably spend about 25-35 hours a week on it. It fills up my weekends and nights and yet I am still not seeing any real income. There was three months that I saw some good income and then it resided and I am back to making only a few hundred dollars a month. I just learned that I am at risk of losing my job next year if the numbers for the 4th quarter don't improve at my job. So, should I just give up on marketing and hope that I can get another job somewhere else if I get laid off or can I really have affiliate marketing success?
-
ANSWER:
Affiliate marketing success does not happen overnight. You said that you have been doing it for almost a year, but have you ever done split testing or anything like that to see what is working and what is not? Are you following a certain method or you just winging it yourself?I learned early on in my Internet marketing endeavor that what works for one person may not work for you. There are plenty of big name marketers that want to sell you the latest program or software to help you succeed and then when you buy it, it does nothing or it is so full of fluff that you don't learn anything new.
I have not bought a program except for Matt Bacak's Internet Marketing Dirt newsletter for the past year and I am making more money than ever. I have been doing affiliate marketing for about two and a half years part-time. I don't really have any intentions of quitting my job, but like you, I like knowing that if I got laid off, I could fall back on affiliate marketing for income.
So, you want to know if you should quit affiliate marketing. I say no especially if your job is in jeopardy. Instead of working harder, work smarter. Are you doing all you can to drive free traffic to your sites? Do your websites or landing pages make people want to buy the products? Have you done split testing on landing pages or keywords to see which ones are the most profitable for you?
Some people have this myth about affiliate marketing that you can simply throw up a website, add some affiliate links, and start making money. You have to work at this and you constantly have to analyze your strategy until it starts making you regular money and then you can relax as the money comes in.
Yes, affiliate marketing success is possible. I am living proof. Even though I only do it part-time, I make more money from it than what the average full-time salary is where I live. At this point, I am relaxing and watching my websites bring in money and working only about 10 hours a week on my projects. I make almost as much money from working 10 hours a week doing affiliate marketing as I do working almost 40 hours a week at my full-time job (it's a job that I love and that is why I don't quit).
I say don't give up quite yet. Also, you may want to look into the newsletter I mentioned as it may help you immensely (www.mattbacak.com).

QUESTION:
Have you been successful with affiliate marketing programs?
If you have had success with affiliate marketing programs, I would like to know what you think the key to your success has been.-
ANSWER:
Yes, we're doing quite well with affiliate programs, earning us thousands per month (in addition to our online advertising revenues)There are several factors to achieving success with affiliate programs:
1. Choose affiliate programs that your visitors would be interested in. The program should fit with the overall theme of your site and something your users would want. You can't achieve much success with an affiliate program for hotels if your website is about dogs.
2. Promote your affiliate programs. Using emails to banners to text links are ok. But the best way is through content -- write something about how effective the products/services are. Tell your audiences that these are the best tools for them and why.
3. Location, location, location. Don't just put your affiliate program links on one spot of your website, such as the homepage. Visitors don't always come through your homepage - and these people will not likely see the affiliates you are promoting. If you can, put them on almost every page of your website. The more visible the affiliate program is, the more chances you can get a sale

QUESTION:
I have set up an affiliate marketing site www.gt-ibiz.com. How could I make it a resounding success?-
ANSWER:
Great stat start like the graphics..
Get a different Domain name like something that speaks to what you do in Noobie terms . Remember the people that would need your services have no clue what all the technical terms are. And break the information on the home page up into multiple pages. What concerns is that you offer web hosting and site building yet you have ads on your site for godaddy and other companies...When contracting with the ad company ask that you have the right to block competing businesses ads from appearing.
If I look at your prices then at the two banner ads above from 2 different competing companies I see that they are cheaper.
http://atomsfamily.net
Edit I thought those were competing companies didn't realize those are your affiliates. Ditch the affliliates and begin a hosting Biz for your self.

QUESTION:
Affiliate marketing works?
Has anybody had moderate or great success through affiliate marketing? I can't invest any money right now, and the free blog and ad sites aren't working...anyone got a secret they could share?-
ANSWER:
ryuk, she said she wasn't having any luck with the adsense route. But to be honest, if you're not having luck with adsense chances are you are going to have trouble with affiliate marketing because like someone said you need to have a website that is receive lots of targeted traffic for a specific niche to be successful with affiliate marketing.
One thing you can do with affiliate marketing is write reviews about the products that you're trying to sell for commission and posting those reviews on your blog and in ezines and article submission sites with a link back to your affiliate page so people will read about the product and come buy them from you. I've had success with that method.
I use a new site made by Jason DeVelvis, a 24 year old whiz kid who's made a LOT of money online and you can find his site here (it is my affiliate link): https://www.SaleFlurry.com/5/streak_tlu
If you need to make a little easy income to re-invest into a domain name/hosting, etc I suggest you try GPT sites, especially reputable ones that can be found and reviewed here:

QUESTION:
Anyone have success with email marketing??????!!!?
Im going to buy an email list from a list broker. There also going to send out the email I created to the whole list. Every email in the list is valid, & the people have bought products before. I just want a straight answer here please. : Has anyone ever had big success with affiliate marketing through an opt in email marketing campaign? If yes then explain how good you did.
There are data cards the company provides, but I just want to know of anyone has been successful with email marketing. If you have then please let me know. thanks-
ANSWER:
Well I have been successful, but not from a list I bought. You have to build the list yourself and build a relationship with your list. I have been Internet Marketing for about 3 years now, so I send e-mails out helping people to get around a lot of the obstacles that I went through, stuff I had learned from my failures. It also helps to have a website they can refer to, so you can establish a more physical identity in your relationship. My website is full of info that trains people on how to get traffic and make sales, so when they see my e-mails they know before they open and read, that they are getting ready to get some needed info.Everyone that signs up with my lists are double opt in, and I offer good free information before I try selling anything. I actually never really offer anything without giving out some free info, lesson plan, training guide or book first.( in every single e-mail I send out) I use aweber for my campaign, And my best campaigns have about 10 e-mails that are sent in over the first 2 weeks on auto pilot with genuine info that my clients wont find anywhere else for free.
The goal is to get your list to know your name when they open their e-mail, you want them to anticipate your next e-mail. And don't really shove anything down there throats, subtly put in affiliate links, affiliate links should be more of a bonus to the info you give them.
I have not made any conversions from lists that I bought in the past, you have to understand that you have no idea how the list was acquired. So these people may not even be interested in what you have to offer, or even check there e-mails at that. I'm not saying you wont make any sales, but I can bet your conversion rate will be extremely low. My latest campaign, I would say I had a big jump from about 3% to around 12% after about 3 weeks, ever since then it has been pretty steady around 12% - 17%, it is hard to calculate because my list grows a little everyday. I also don't have a way of tracking if the conversions are coming from new subscribers or old subscribers yet, but this is my most successful e-mail campaign so far, and it is the first time i put this much effort into it as well.
With a list that you build, you know exactly where they came from and why they opt in. And with a Double opt-in list after the user voluntarily inputs their e-mail info, they still have to open their e-mail and confirm again that they want to receive my information. So, therefore I know they check there e-mails, they want mine, and the e-mail goes somewhere they can see it.

QUESTION:
Can I really make money using an affiliate program or CPA marketing?
I have recently heard about affiliate programs and CPA marketing. I don't have a website nor I have spent much time researching ways to make money online but I am intrigued by this CPA thing. Can anyone tell me step-by-step how to get started with this and what is the actual money making potential in this. Does anyone know any real success stories and what did it take for that person to succeed?-
ANSWER:
CPA is certainly a viable way to make money online. However, affiliate marketing is much more doable for most of us.When you become an affiliate for a company (i.e. Amazon, Wal-Mart, etc.), you get paid when someone clicks from your website to the company's website and actually purchases something.
Successful affiliates create valuable content that actually answers the question(s) people are asking about a certain product or service. For example, if you search Google for "buy shoes online", you'll find 10,900,000 pages that offer info. If you click on one of the sites offering Zappos shoes, then actually purchase a pair of Zappos, the Zappos affiliate that owns the site you clicked on will earn a small commission from Zappos. This action does not increase the price of your shoes.
There are many honest marketers earning money online every day. You can learn from some of the best by checking out the free resources below.
I wish you well.

You probably already know what http://clickbank.com has the best opportunities because they do all software and the commissions are fairly high.I am trying it myself and am just starting. I am going get into public records and see how that works out. Clickbank's programs in that area havde about - $ 25 commission per sale. QUESTION:
Is there anyone having success making a living online?
I have been trying internet marketing for 2 years now and am seriously frustrated. I have tried PPC, Blogs, and Affiliate Marketing. I just need to know is there anyone having any success online? Please help!-
ANSWER:
I have been doing affiliate marketing for three years now. I work a full-time job and have a family so I can't invest the time into affiliate marketing that I'd like to but I am consistently making an extra 0 monthly and I'm seeing more and more traffic to my websites. I know if I could do it full-time, I'd be making a lot more money. I really enjoy it...it's a lot of fun. And, yes, you can make good money. It just depends on how much you put into it and how badly you want it. I, too, became extremely frustrated and was ready to quit but then I'd make a sale so I know I can do it but it's a lot of work.
I actually pay a monthly fee (, if you pay for a full year) to be a member at Wealthy Affiliate. They teach you everything, and I mean everything, you need to know to become a successful affiliate marketer. This site is great and I wouldn't recommend it if I didn't think it's the best resource online to learn affiliate marketing. I don't see an affiliate program indicated from the Running for Indians site, am I missing something?
----
ANSWER:
I know a company that you can get involved in that has a charitable program. It's becoming a major resource for non profit organizations in funding their programs. Places like Systic Fybrosis, MADD, Softin etc.
It's a 15 year old world wide company that markets in all telecommunication services. Such as local and long distance telephones, Internet, video phones, digital, Satellite TV, VOIP and all major cellular phone providers like AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, T-Mobile, Alltel, Nextell etc have partnered up with this as well. Basically what you do is collaborate with the primary company, refer these services to different people, you make a percentage of people's billings every month to compensate your tme and effort and the non profit organizations make a percentage as well. It's a huge opportunity to make an incredible amount of income and help out charities with funding for there programs.

QUESTION:
Why is success so hard to achieve?
I've tried it all. I've tried selling on Ebay and Amazon. Tried opening my own online shop, I've tried affiliate marketing and blogging.I've had somewhat success with Ebay and Amazon but they both RAPE me on the fees so it's like I'm set up to fail!
It's not in my nature to give up, but it just seems like there is no light at the end of the tunnel when it comes to entrepreneurial success.
I'm so sick of failing and I just can't stand working for other people. I hear stories of people starting business's and making fortunes and I'm stuck here saying WTF?
I know, nobody is going to give it me but why is it so hard? Why does God have to be a dick?
-
ANSWER:
You are trying in the wrong areas. From what you have listed, there are hundreds or thousands of competitors doing the same thing. They are all trying to get rich selling the same stuff fromthe same places.
In order to truly suceed, you need to develop a business around an idea or service where there is not much competition. You must also keep an eye out for the future as once you start doing well, others will try to copy you.
Success is not easy and it has different meaning to different people.
My business has changed over the 18 years I have operated it. We have moved into different areas, then when it got too competitive or the internet killed our sales we looked at something that complemented what we were already doing.
It is alot of hard work. You just have to be willing to work hard and be creative.
The affliate marketing. blogging, etc only makes money for the people on top. Be prepared for lots of "answers" that have links to show you how to make easy money. As you already know, most are scams.

QUESTION:
Has anyone made any money using the info found in Dominating niches?
I really interested in making a career out of online ventures like affiliate marketing and niche marketing, but im really lost on beginning on that journey. If anyone has any info on how to truly get started and complete some type of sale of some sort ,or any stories of your success would be greatly appreciated!! Thx! =]-
ANSWER:
Personally if I had to start over I would try to find a mentor to help you out. Maybe you will find a course that makes you a lot of money, likely not though. Spend the extra money for a personal mentor or find a group of affiliates in your local area. If you do decide to buy a product that promised to show you how to make a lot of money, focus on that for a couple months, do not continue to buy product after product.

QUESTION:
Has anyone found any success in Paid Sign-up Marketing & Advertising (online)?
I mean when you pay advertising money to a site, such as, gold-clickers, where you pay and in return, supposedly, members of that site sign up for your website or affiliate program. You are supposed to get sign-ups and site members get "paid to sign-up"I asked a somewhat similar version of this question earlier using the word 'luck'. Unfortunately, that word alone was enough to give me answers from far "left field", in which they had nothing to do at all with paid sign-up advertising.
It sounds like it should work like clock work, but I want to know if anyone has actually gotten sign-ups this way at all.
I thought that it would be worthwhile to ask this similar question that is posed in a way to make it sound appropriately clarified. There were two answers to my other version of the question, albeit I voted 'No best answer'. None of the people who answered were even talking about experience with paid sign-ups working or not working for them.

QUESTION:
Website help. Marketing affiliates etc?
I'm about to launch a classified websiteMy business adviser is through the enterprise but he is not an (IT) expert
I have purchased the domain name for my classified site with go daddy and the site is about ready to upload to the servers, I was wondering if anyone can kindly offer me some help on how to make a good amount of income from this website and how to best market it etc.
I have a Google Adsense account, plus Bidvertiser and I'm now an affiliate for commission junction and Clickbank.I am willing to join any other affiliates ppc advertising etc to enhance/boost revenue.
I have already seen leads in my cj account from another website I have that is a niche community site that has been going for just over a year and has 765 members to date. Its kind of like a mini Myspace/Faceparty with the option for members to upgrade their accounts to premium.profile uploading, pictures videos blogs etc
I am very enthusiastic flexible and learn quickly.
Below is a link of the sort of website I am going to launch
http://www.shoofi-mafi.com/en/index.php
Obviously my site will be for midlands (uk) members but the above link is an idea of how the site should look and feel.
I shall also be adding forums for members to interact more and so enables me to build up an email database for newsletters
I shall be offering incentives to advertise by way of cash prizes this way hopefully boosting my traffic to the site
I'm fed up of trying to search for IT help just to be told to click on links to peoples sites which is obviously in hope that you will click their ppc adverts or buy an expensive ebook from them and gain them money.
Please could someone train and mentor me to success, (IF) I can only make a small amount of money from this one site I am prepared to copy the idea to other areas of the UK to gain more revenue.the sky is the limit
Thanks for reading this article and please buzz me for advice and if you would like to be my mentor.
I look forward to hearing from you savvy clever IT folk in helping me on this journey
Does anyone know if its possible to make a reasonable living just off one or two of these types of websites if the marketing is done correctly etc
thank you for your time
Kind regards
ok. to all the people commenting that are leaving links to their sites please stop!!look at this section here i wrote in my original message
I'm fed up of trying to search for IT help just to be told to click on links to peoples sites which is obviously in hope that you will click their ppc adverts or buy an expensive ebook from them and gain them money.
And i am truly fed up with this!!
let me explain again the sort of answers i would like,
very simple this!
i would like someone to say for example, " ok listen if you go here and grab a bit of code from this affiliate then put it here in your website and generate traffic you will make x amount"
not just random links to peoples sites making money from adsense and their own affailate sites.
i hope this is clear enough.
i would like to know info on places such as e-business club and other sites that offer free advice and do not ask you to get your credit card out at the end of the blog/forum landing page etc. thank you..
i have also tried the spiderweb and it is not for me because they do actually ask for money to buy a domain and basically unless you do there is not much chance of making any moneyi am doing my own website but it is only for one area and not globally, its a classified site for the midlands area, no point in people posting info and adverts from usa because it is too far away etc.
plus i would like to avoid scams so if anyone can give advice there, please help in these questions i have posted
thanks

ANSWER:
Online classifieds are a very competitive niche. I'd recommend that you use traditional advertising to generate traffic locally, then grow from there nationally using print classifieds. For a relatively small fee you can advertise nationally using classifieds. Because you are going to have a broad range of products or topics to promote, your central message will likely have to be "onine classifieds" or "free classifieds", instead of a specific product.
Then from there build your site awareness. You've got your work cut out for you. However if you have the resources hire an outside firm to handle your marketing. However, your in a profitable business model if you can grow your site's popularity.

ANSWER:
Have you tried eBay or Overstock.com? I do OK there with my little business, and I only sell one type of thing! Not enough for me to make a living, but then all of my stuff is hand made and I don't think I could keep up with a higher demand. So I only clear about 0 in profit a month. I have a basic store and that runs about a month (not including sales fees). A lot of vendors use eBay & Overstock as a way to get people to visit their on-line store where they offer a wider variety of items.

QUESTION:
How good are affiliate schemes for generating money thru Google? Are there other good companies to try as well?
I think I have a very good website idea about tourism which could advertise over 1000 forms of accommodation & ought to be an excellent 'shop window' for hotels, Bed & Breakfasts, etc. Do Google (or any other recommended businesses perhaps) give a decent percentage on SUCCESSFUL web links i.e. a link which DOES create a bookings at Hotels, Bed & Breakfasts, Self Catering accommodation - even Camping & Caravan Sites? My website will also feature 'Things to see & do' i.e. local entertainment as well as 'Places to Eat AND Drink' and 'Transport' & Miscellaneous other things like shops or Car Insurance too. Do affiliate schemes with Google or whoever pay fairly well IF you can deliver a pretty good success rate on purchases via your website?
I think I have an essentially 'good' idea which isn't in competition with any other website (at least in what it does) therefore it should 'corner the market' in the way eBay cornered the market in on-line auctions. It won't be THAT big but it should be fairly big.
The reason I'm asking is because I'm thinking of making revenue via MY pay per click income or using an affiliate as I believe I have excellent sales capabilities. Please tell me if you have personal experience of affiliate schemes & what level of success / income it achieves & any other tips you may have regarding revenue streams via a popular website.

QUESTION:
What way are you going to become financially successful?
How are you going to become financially successful? And before one of you type out a long depiction of success is different to everyone, let me state what kind of success i mean. financial freedom, in the sense of doing what you want, when you want, and how you want. You don't have to work, it isn't a necessity, but if you want to you can.
You basically are being paid while you sleep. [passive income/cash flow]Now, my question is what do you plan on doing to reach this success and how are you going to do it? What as in affiliate marketing, writing eBooks, or MLM....? And how, as in writing out my goals, taking action, and things such as how soon are you going to take action?
Well, i hope i clarified the question.
-
ANSWER:
There are only two ways to become wealthy:1). Theft (i.e. mugging people or becoming a politician and living on taxpayer money) or
2). Saving (only spending on those things which you really truly need) and producing (working hard and thinking of smart entrepreneurial ways to satisfy consumer demands that are currently going unsatisfied)Also, to make sure your savings dont depreciate over time, you should store your savings in gold and silver, which will serve as an excellent hedge against the coming price inflation.

QUESTION:
How to give little brother career advice?
My brother is 27 and has been trying to start his own affiliate marketing business for 2 years now. He's been taking at home courses and learning on his own part-time 2 days a week and he works part-time at an ad agency the other 3 days. He really has a drive to want to work for himself, which I certainly admire and appreciate. The thing is that his approach has resulted in very slow results, and him having to be 27 and living at home with our parents.I feel like I need to give him advice, but I want to do it and still be sensitive to his ego and support his dreams. He is very very opposed to having a full-time job and trying to make this work. He told me he doesn't want to be a corporate drone - which I honestly feel is an immature attitude that shows his lack of experience and maybe that he's a little intimidated by the corporate world.
I've had the desire to take the freelance route, but took the approach to establish myself in the industry before-hand and to surround myself around and learn from people who have similar goals to me and have had much success from it. I want to try to make him see the light, about this, but every time I bring it up, he gets really defensive and makes it seem like I'm attacking him and criticizing him, which I'm honestly not trying to do, I'm just trying to help him see the light to a more thriftier success path. Anyone out there have any experience with giving defensive relatives advice? I feel like him being so stagnant with his life is causing us to become distant. Thank you very much in advance.
-
ANSWER:
Do not come to him in a condescending way..come to him more as a friend. Explain to him how you had to give up your dreams of going the "freelance route" and had to establish yourself in the industry before-hand and that probably would be good for him too. Explain to him that you love him very much but that you feel he may be taking things too slowly and not seeing things for exactly what they are and that you have some good advice for him if he would like you to share it with him. Tell him a thousand times you love him and that you really want the best for him. Good luck.

I looked at the first page of the website - here are my reactions.
1. Puzzled what 'wealthy affiliate' was, and a bit suspicious it was 'get rich quick' junk. I think it needed some quality fact up front to convince me of its integrity and convince me to spend more time their.
2. I thought you needed to 'entertain' more - ie give me a source of pleasure such as an entertaining cartoon or quote, or question and answer interactive assessment, to draw me in.Hope this is helpfull feedback for you.

QUESTION:
This is for Daa dingo ate yar baby... an answer to his question.?
History
The origins of Nutella go back, indirectly, to 1867. In that year giandujotti, the typical sweet from Turin, are born: this hazelnuts and cocoa candy, made with the objective of reducing the production costs caused by high cocoa prices, soon becomes a success. After WWII Pietro Ferrero creates Giandujot an economic surrogate of giandujotti, sold as a thick paste to be sliced and served on bread. In 1949 a more recognisable ancestor of Nutella sees the light of day: Supercrema, a spreadable version of the paste. The formula of the cream gets improved but the name remains Supercrema till 1964. In this year a serious of circumstances convince the Ferreros to re-name their product Nutella. The first reason was an Italian law of the time prohibiting superlatives in product names. Even more important was the hazelnut cream success on foreign markets. According to one story a German affiliate company proposed a name containing nuss (German for nut). QUESTION:
The Butterfly Manuscript Is All You Need?
The Butterfly Manuscript Is All You NeedButterfly Marketing proves to be just as powerful in strategies then in the software itself. Below you will find a student and customer of the course.
http://akgstfsn.bfmscript.hop.clickbank.net
Michael Cheney of "Adsense Videos" applied the the pre-launch strategies and affiliate tools and JV strategies outlined in Mike Filsaime's Butterfly Marketing Manuscript to the his launch.
Here is what Michael Cheney had to say about what he learned in the Manuscript:
------------------------------------------------------
"Mike - first off I just want to say thank you so much! The techniques I learned from Butterfly Marketing played a BIG part in helping me make ,249 in sales in 24 hours!!
As I write this I'm still finding it hard to believe. It seems a lifetime ago that the BFM package landed on my doorstep and I started poring over it with my smile getting larger and wider with each new insight as I realized that as long as I APPLIED what I was learning the principles were going to make something BIG happen!
Little did I know just HOW BIG it would be when I launched AdSense Videos...
AdSense Videos - 33 Hours After Launch..
The site went live. My life changed forever - seriously the results have been incredible Mike - we've grossed over 0,000 in 7 days!! The site got an Alexa ranking on Launch Day of 351!
AdSense Videos was ranked Number 1 on the ClickBank Marketplace in the Marketing category just 4 days after the Launch!
I've also been getting, on average, one new subscriber every minute of every hour for the past SIX AND A HALF DAYS!!!
So - What did I learn from you Mike and from Butterfly Marketing? Where to start! I think one of the biggest things was the step-by-step approach. Everything I created for Affiliates, Joint Venture partners and for people going through the videos themselves has been step-by-step. I made everything as easy as I could and 'muppet-proof' as I like to call it!
I also realized that it's paying attention to the smaller details BEFORE launch that really pay dividends AFTER the Launch. And BOY am I seeing that!
You gave some absolute gems of advice in Butterfly Marketing which have, without a shadow of a doubt, contributed in a big way to the overall success of AdSense Videos.
Thanks again!
Michael Cheney"

QUESTION:
Legal protection for a game (board, card, etc).?
Over the past few months, I've invented and created a prototype for a game (think board game or card game) that revolves around a popular worldwide sport. What I'd like to do is pitch and sell the rights to the game to a major professional affiliate of the sport, like the NFL for football, or MLB for baseball, etc. My idea is that it would create a win-win for both the sport entity and myself:For the professional affiliate: The game, if proven popular, generate revenue in its sales, expand the interest and marketability of the sport itself, and help people gain an increased knowledge and understanding of the sport's many intricacies.
For me: I'd be able to utilize the professional affiliate's already massive globally recognized brand, marketing, and wealth to market and produce/distribute the game. I would hypothetically gain income from the initial sale of the rights, and some royalties depending on sales success thereafter (this is all obviously a hopeful hypothetical).
My questions are as follows:
1) How would I go about getting the attention of the sports affiliate so that I could see if they'd be interested in a pitch/demonstration of the game?
2) How could I legally protect myself so that the game idea isn't simply stolen by the affiliate if they liked my idea? Would I have to get a patent, or would something simple like email records be viable?
Thanks in advance.
I'm aware that's the case for video games, but is it the same for something like a collectible card game or board game- something with a unique set of rules and processes?-
ANSWER:
You know it doesn't work like that, right? (Obviously you don't).But game makers PAY the sports leagues, like the NFL, to use team names in their games. Obviously, a game with real teams will sell better than ones with generic names.

QUESTION:
'Colbert,' 'SpongeBob' may go dark on Time Warner?
LOS ANGELES – "SpongeBob SquarePants" might get squeezed off Time Warner Cable.Media giant Viacom Inc. said its Nickelodeon, MTV, Comedy Central and 16 other channels will go dark for 13 million subscribers at 12:01 a.m. Thursday if a new carriage fee deal with Time Warner Cable Inc. is not agreed upon by then.
The impasse would mean "SpongeBob" and other popular shows like Jon Stewart's "The Daily Show" and Stephen Colbert's "The Colbert Report" will be cut off on the nation's second-largest cable operator. Time Warner Cable primarily serves people in New York state, the Carolinas, Ohio, Southern California and Texas.
Viacom has asked for fee increases of between 22 percent and 36 percent per channel, or a total of million more, an amount that could increase customers' cable bills, said Time Warner Cable spokesman Alex Dudley.
"The issue is that they have asked for an exorbitant increase in their carriage fees and their network ratings are sagging," Dudley said. "Basically we're trying to hold the line for our customer."
Viacom spokeswoman Kelly McAndrew disputed the figure, saying Viacom requested an increase in the very low double-digit percentage range.
Viacom said the increases would cost an extra 23 cents a month per subscriber. It said that Americans spend a fifth of their TV time watching Viacom shows but its fees make up less than 2.5 percent of the Time Warner cable bill.
"We make this request because Time Warner Cable has so greatly undervalued our channels for so long," Viacom said.
"Ultimately, however, if Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, MTV and the rest of our programming is discontinued — over less than a penny per day — we believe viewers will see this behavior by their cable company as outrageous," Viacom said.
Time Warner Cable's Dudley said Viacom rejected his company's proposal to extend the contract while the sides continue to negotiate.
Instead, Viacom appealed directly to Time Warner Cable's customers, with TV ads in major markets. In Wednesday's New York Times, the company ran a full-page, color advertisement with Nickelodeon's animated bilingual heroine "Dora the Explorer" crying and clinging to her monkey pal, Boots.
"Why is Dora crying?" the ad asks. "Time Warner Cable is taking Dora off the air tonight!" The ad urges viewers to call Time Warner Cable and demand that their favorite shows remain on the air.
If the shows go dark after midnight, Time Warner Cable will send people to the Internet to catch episodes. Dudley said the cable operator also will make available a video teaching people how to hook their computers up to the TV to watch online shows — a tactic it used during a contract dispute with broadcaster LIN TV in October.
Part of the disagreement is that most of Viacom's popular shows are rerun on Web sites where Viacom collects advertising revenue that it does not share with Time Warner, Dudley said. "We don't think that's fair," he said.
Viacom has staked much of its revenue-growth prospects on its ability to extract higher carriage rates out of its cable and satellite affiliates despite an ad slowdown and weak ratings.
In the third quarter, media network revenue, which accounts for about two-thirds of Viacom's total, grew 6 percent to .1 billion, despite global ad revenue falling 2 percent, largely because of double-digit percentage growth in affiliate fees and the success of its "Rock Band" video game.
Viacom shares rose 45 cents, 2.3 percent, to .71 in late morning trading Wednesday. Time Warner Cable shares lost 39 cents, 1.8 percent, to .37.
The channels that would be affected are: Comedy Central, CMT: Pure Country, Logo, Palladia, MTV, MTV 2, MTV Hits, MTV Jams, MTV Tr3s, Nickelodeon, Noggin, Nick 2, Nicktoons, Spike, The N, TV Land, VH1, VH1 Classic, and VH1 Soul.

QUESTION:
Viacom/Time Warner Cable dispute?

"We make this request because Time Warner Cable has so greatly undervalued our channels for so long," it said.
"Ultimately, however, if Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, MTV and the rest of our programming is discontinued — over less than a penny per day — we believe viewers will see this behavior by their cable company as outrageous," it said.
Negotiations are continuing at the highest level, Dudley said.
Viacom accused Time Warner Cable of not negotiating.
"It is our sincere hope that they will come to the table and negotiate a deal," said McAndrew. The network operator also intends to tell viewers about the dispute in TV ads in 11 major markets.
Part of the disagreement is that most of the popular shows are rerun on Web sites where Viacom collects advertising revenue that it does not share with Time Warner, Dudley said.
"We don't think that's fair," he said. "They're trying to have their cake and eat it too online, where anybody can get it for free."
Viacom has staked much of its revenue-growth prospects on its ability to extract higher carriage rates out of its cable and satellite affiliates despite an ad slowdown and weak ratings.
In the third quarter, media network revenue, which accounts for about two-thirds of the total, grew 6 percent to .1 billion, despite global ad revenue falling 2 percent, largely because of double-digit percentage growth in affiliate fees and the success of its "Rock Band" video game.
Viacom shares rose 69 cents, or 3.7 percent, to close at .26 on Tuesday, while Time Warner Cable shares added .56, or 7.7 percent, to .76.
The channels that would be affected are: Comedy Central, CMT: Pure Country, Logo, Palladia, MTV, MTV 2, MTV Hits, MTV Jams, MTV Tr3s, Nickelodeon, Noggin, Nick 2, Nicktoons, Spike, The N, TV Land, VH1, VH1 Classic, and VH1 Soul.
Pop-up alerts on "The Colbert Report" and "The Daily Show" Web sites Wednesday morning informed fans that Time Warner Cable customers will lose Comedy Central shows soon and urged them to call the cable company and protest the change.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081231/ap_on_bi_ge/viacom_time_warner_cable
^Honestly...18 channels? Can Time Warner really take a hit to their cable company as big as this? Will the sides reach an agreement by today? Opinions anyone?
Personally, i think this is stupid. An extra 23 cents a month or .76 a year is nothing. Time Warner just needs to give in already so i can watch South Park, Mind of Mencia, all my reality TV shows and definitely SPONGEBOB!-
ANSWER:
They NEVER learn, Viacom and Time Warner are both at fault. GREED KILLS. They both already make several millions dollars a year. Why cant they just let it go. The NFL network too. Viacom will make they pay $.23 per subscriber so Time warner will raid the bill .00. Then the other channels will up their fees too. Here comes 0.00 a month cable bills. Meanwhile we (the consumer) are stuck in the middle. With the transformation to digital TV most of us are forced to have cable.

ANSWER:
As a hiring expert, I recommend you take out your bottom two jobs as they were pretty short and you want to look like you've had stable jobs. The first three are fine. And a few more job descriptions. 3 may be too short. Have 4-6 job descriptions. You should rename your activities section as "Other Experience" and name your regular experience section as "Professional Experience". Take out "References Available Upon Request" because you should already have your references on hand when meeting an employer.
All of my advice is very detailed on my website so find more tips here: http://www.hireme101.com/resumetips.html. I also only charge to edit resumes, so my services could be useful for you.
Good luck

ANSWER:
What do I think? be wary of Keven Trudeau's offerings, searching the web turns up a questionable background, I understand he got into books after having to pay the FTC millions in fines for misrepresentations of his weight loss, seems that freedom of speech laws allow one free reign when in book form.Of course anything marketed in infomercials, with the huge profit margins associated with products sold this way should be viewed with skepticism.
It takes a lot of Egyptian slaves at the bottom to make a pyramid.

QUESTION:
I am a guy and I hate girls / women so much & I love them so much too. Could you please help me?
I agree with you that you just saw the weirdest question you might have ever seen so far. But........(Steve Chandler, in his self – help book “Reinventing yourself” says about an incident in which he scolded a woman very harshly. Later, when he became calm, he understood that if it was a man who did the same thing as done by that woman (which irritated Steve), he would have simply joked with him about the situation, instead of being so angry. So he arranged a group meeting in which there were many women and he seeked their help to resolve this double standards adopted by him and that meeting helped him to tackle this issue.)
Now, I am doing the same thing here. I have a very serious problem (ummm not really) with girls (women). Let me repeat, I hate them so much, but, at the same time I love them so much too. Let me explain, in my life, always, I can get along with most of the boys/men very easily. Normally, I don’t quarrel with any guy. But, with girls, I don’t do anything else.
But, on the other hand, I had very deep relationships (Minus sex and in love) with girls only. Never with boys. My relationship with boys has been always in the mid-way- stage – not high or low. (And yes, I am perfectly straight in my sexual orientation, not impotent, gay or bisexual etc.)
I am still a virgin and for the last 1 or 2 years, I purposefully did not date any girl. I don’t have any intention to marry in my life (my mother is torturing me for the same though). Now, I am an internet marketer and I am going to build and run a dating site intended to improve the dating success skills of guys, very soon.
So, I have to become an expert in the field of dating skills. I am good at it. But, of course, being an expert for the sake of my career (Internet Marketing) is another thing. So, I have already started my research yesterday.
But, only theory will not do. As I told you, I did not date for the last 1 or 2 years, one reason being that I cannot stand the character of many girls. But, when I study new dating strategies so as to teach other guys later through my site, I have to first test each technique / strategy to check whether it works or not.
Or in other words, for the sake of my career, I have to check the workability of various dating techniques with of course, gorgeous girls. (Well, they say they that we can teach only what we preach. Right.
So, do I like to flirt with gorgeous girls or not? Yes But No. Why No? I easily become irritated by the various remarks made by girls/ women I have to deal with, whether I am dating them or not.
A few months earlier, I had a short stint as an MBA student. Do you know the opinion of at least some of the girls there about me? “Arrogant, Self-Centred, Introvert etc.” I don’t know why. Perhaps, because I always purposefully neglected them. (I had a bad experience with a few girls in the beginning; so as usual, I avoided all girls in my class from then onwards)
Now, I have no other choice. The decision for starting the dating site will not be changed and I am very serious about it. So, please help me how I could be more understanding towards girls; instead of having a low opinion about many of them. That is surely essential for me to become a dating expert cum coach. Well my students couldn’t also fail. Right?
I know about the dating books provided by other Internet marketers. But, I cannot be always the affiliate of others.
So please help me by giving your valuable suggestions. I will surely vote for the best answer so that you can easily get 10 precious points.
Thanks a lot & Regards,
Sreejish
(Due to the fact that I did not date for the last 1 or 2 years, I checked whether my pick up lines work now also: check the link below: I used similar pick up lines earlier which worked then too. So, the actual question (in disguise) here was that if I want, can I get the attention of girls? Yes, I got attention of 11 people within 5 minutes.
But, the interesting part is that some of them believed all those. Each sentence in that article was made up, for the sake of entertaining others and checking the effectiveness of my dating skills after 2 years.
Well you may get the 10 points there also. I am waiting for the voting part.http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=ArnCw4mdwao6U6raIrLi09nty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20110326175431AAwCjU6
(Do you think that my book "My 10,000 Dating Blunders" will be successful?) )
No answer so far in 15 minutes. I should have summarised it all into 3 or 4 sentences

QUESTION:
Does this essay flow?
Parents are the best teachers when it comes to their children’s careers. For generations, our parents have been taught to go straight to college after high school, in hopes of landing the perfect job. That has been the so called “American Dream” for far too long, and parents are implementing that same mentality in their children’s lives. Attending college is the smart choice; however parents should show their children that there is more to life than having the perfect job, and my parents did an immaculate job showing me. They have constantly lectured me on the importance of becoming a successful entrepreneur, and one day establishing my own businesses. The number one lesson they taught me is that I could never become wealthy as an employee. I truly appreciated the fact that I was given a different outlook on the real world because I have taken their guidance and used it to my advantage. Just by knowing this information, I have been able to start a business in e-commerce, invest in the stock market, and even receive my real estate license. Of all the industries that I have been introduced too, I believe that real estate has interested me the most.
When I was about sixteen years old, my parents introduced me to the business of real estate sales. They would always take me to local real estate seminars and investment clubs hosted by some of the most renowned real estate entrepreneurs in the country, such as Donald Trump and Hilary "Zig" Ziglar. At that time, it was hard for me to appreciate the opportunity to even be allowed in theses events, but as I got older I understood why my parents took me with them. They just wanted me to be in the environment of other successful entrepreneurs. After understanding their intentions, I began to enjoy the seminars. From that moment on, I dressed professionally and carried a notebook to every seminar. I learned a lot from attending the real estate investor meetings, and I was eager to share in their success. The first job they gave me was to be their assistant. I became responsible for various tasks such as; confirming appointments with clients, and reviewing and completing listing, purchase, and lease contracts. Furthermore, I assisted with lead generating via direct mail, door to door advertising, along with online marketing using Top Producer (a real time lead generating and contact management database), Facebook and MySpace. Once I turned eighteen, I was eligible to become a licensed real estate agent, so in the summer of 2007, I enrolled at the Long and Foster Institute. I successfully completed the course, and received my real estate license. Since becoming licensed, I affiliated with Keller Williams Realty. At the end of the day, everything I learned from my parents benefited me as I got older. As an alternative of being an employee for the rest of my life, I have what it takes to establish my own businesses and provide a bright future for my family. If not, how can I improve it? What can the second paragraph be about
It has to be 250- 500 words... I cant really express my thought in such a short paper.-
ANSWER:
Your general subject is fine, but the way you write not so much.
The way you have laid out your essay is very messy. You need to gather your thoughts before putting pen to paper. For instance, starting with your first sentence- it begins general and third person. Then, suddenly, you change to first. You need a transition sentence here. "That has been the so called “American Dream” for far too long, and parents are implementing that same mentality in their children’s lives."- this makes it seem like you don't agree with the concept of the American Dream because you say its been called that for "far too long". If you dont agree with it, ok, but add something after this sentence to sort of explain your thoughts or just delete the for far too long part. "Of all the industries that I have been introduced too, I believe that real estate has interested me the most."- use to instead of too in this sentence. Other things like this I have found throughout your passage, and a little re reading and correcting won't hurt.
You ask what you could put in your second paragraph- the paragraph you originally have is way too long to be just one.( see what i mean about how your layout is messy?) Before you write, plan out your five paragraphs or more in which you first think of your introduction and thesis statement, then your first topic (maybe what your parents did when you were young) your second topic (maybe how you began to be successful) your third topic (maybe how you credit your success to your parent's and how you appreciate it) and then last but not least your conclusion. You can add more paragraphs to your body, but before you start writing, think. Good luck!
