Make Money As An Affiliate

Affiliation

Casual bloggers or site owners who are interested in earning additional income can do so without the hassle of filing paperworks through the use of a corporate company's affiliation program. This can help internet users earn money while simply maintaining a blog or a website.

A company affiliation program uses the help of a smaller business or a blog to help promote their services of products. Websites or blogs that gets frequent visits can benefit financially from this because of the long standing need of companies to advertise wherever possible consumers are. A great example of a company affiliation program has to be the UPrinting.com Affiliate Program. The program helps out smaller businesses that own websites or blogs by paying the owner a commission for every successful transaction that has been made through their respective sites.

The UPrinting Affiliate Program assures partners that transactions are safe and that there is profit to be had from subscribing to this program. Simply put, the website owner only needs to put a UPrinting logo and link in their site and when a visitor clicks on the link and gets their printing supplies done through UPrinting, the site owner or blogger gets a commission. Registration for this program is also free. The program also gets the owner or blogger payouts on a monthly basis, cookies that are set at 90 days to maximize sales through the site, constant communication between the owner and UPrinting through emails and newsletters for updates and a dedicated team of representatives who can deliver up-to-date reports.

But more importantly, affiliation programs help bloggers and site owners through promotions that are done by the bigger company. This way both the owners of the site and the company gain from one another.

I joined an agency and they wanted to know my union affiliation on a basic info sheet. Does that mean what acting union I would like to join or what I am currently in? Thanks!

    • ANSWER:
Yes, they want to know if you are currently a AFTRA (www.aftra.org), SAG (www.sag.org) or even Actors Equity (www.actorsequity.org). Most professional actors belong to at least one of these unions, some two and in NYC especially many belong to all three.

  5. QUESTION:
What does it mean when a college has a Religious affiliation ?
I am planning to attend Duke University but the description says the school has Methodist affiliation. Does that mean they only accept Methodist people or What does it mean ?

    • ANSWER:
Religious affiliation means different things to different institutions. For some institutions it is exactly what a previous answer indicated, that it formerly was strongly associated with a specific denomination and now is only nominally associated with that denomination. I do not know, but strongly suspect, that Duke University is one of these institutions.

For other institutions there is still a strong connection to the religious denomination. Schools like BYU and Loma Linda University are still strongly associated with their respective religions (LDS and SDA) and have both admissions procedures and school rules relevant to their religious affiliation.

A previous answer indicated that schools cannot discriminate based on religion. That is patently false. Loma Linda University, for instance, gives significant preference to qualified SDA applicants over applicants from other faiths as illustrated in their class profile (9% of applicants were identified as SDA but 60% of accepted students were from SDA colleges). This is a legal practice for religiously affiliated institutions that is protected by the first amendment of the constitution.

  9. QUESTION:
Is it weird to attend a college with a different religious affiliation than my own?
I want to go to a college without any religious affiliation, but some of the colleges I am looking at are affiliated with a different religion. What does this mean? Are most students there going to be of that religion? Will that impact me if I do apply/attend that school?

    • ANSWER:
I go to a Roman Catholic university and only about 30% of the students are Catholic. We have a bit more of a comprehensive education; we have to take an ethics course, and three religion/philosophy courses as part of our core requirements. The religion classes don't have to be Catholic though, you can opt for Eastern religions, Christian marriage, etc. There are some religious statues on campus and there is a big [optional] celebration mass at the beginning of the year.

It really isn't that big of a deal to go to a school with a different religious affiliation. If anything, it is helpful to get a different perspective.

Good luck with whatever you choose! :]

  12. QUESTION:
Is political affiliation a good indicator as to what type of person someone is?

  13. QUESTION:
How many of you attend or have attended a university with a religious affiliation?
If it's not too personal, would you mind sharing its religious affiliation, and your own religion? Why did you choose that university?

    • ANSWER:
I did, but I didn't choose it, my parents did. I was sent to 17 years of Christian school, including four years of Christian University. I graduated from Olivet Nazarene with a BA in Religion and Philosophy. Olivet is Wesleyan (Methodist). Though I was raised Southern Baptist, Olivet was my dad's school and I went at his insistence. At the time, they thought I was going to be a religion teacher at my Grandfather's church. Funny thing is, it's the four years of theology that started me on the road to atheism--which wasn't in their plan.

After I graduated from Olivet, I went on to get a more useful teaching degree. I earned my BA in U.S. History from U of Illinois and then years later, here in NY, I went back to school and earned my MA in U.S. History from NYU and my NY teaching certification. I taught U,S. History in middle school for years, but wanted to get the children earlier, when they were still excited about learning. Now I teach reading to "disadvantaged" children in a Head Start Program here in NYC. I love my job and I love the kids.

btw--my fellow atheists shouldn't knock theology school. It's produced more atheists than any other type of University. Why do you think almost all Bible Scholars are atheists? The more you learn about the authorship and compilation of the Bible, the more likely you are to become atheist or at least agnostic.

  14. QUESTION:
Why has religious affiliation changed through time in Canada?
I have an essay on religious affiliation in Canada. I was wondering if anyone could help me out with different reasons religions have grown developed and emerged through time in Canada. I have quite a few points already but i'd appreciate more. Creative thinking is encouraged! Thank-you!

    • ANSWER:
United Church of Canada, formed in 1925. It is made up of Congregational, Methodist and Presbyterian. Hence, the United part. Here is an answer from wikipedia:

In the early twentieth century, the main Evangelical Protestant denominations in Canada were the Presbyterian, Methodist and Congregational churches. Many small towns and villages across Canada had all three, with the town's population divided among them. Especially on the prairies, it was difficult to find clergy to serve all these charges, and there were several instances where one minister would serve his congregation, but would also perform pastoral care for the other congregations that lacked a minister. On the prairies, a movement to unite all three major Protestant denominations began, resulting in the Association of Local Union Churches.

      Cheers!

The classes look good but sound a bit expensive , any advice ?

  30. QUESTION:
Do you think animals make powerful metaphors for human nature and political affiliation?
Do you think animals make powerful metaphors for human nature and political affiliation? why or why not? do you have any examples?

    • ANSWER:
Not inherently, but metaphors are rarely inherent. They work in the hands of a skilled writer.

For example, why would the democrats inherently want to be associated with a donkey? In fact, that image began it's association with the party when cartoonist Thomas Nast drew a cartoon of a Donkey kicking a Lion. This image wasn't intended to represent the democrats in general, and wasn't intended as entirely positive, but the public loved it and it made an image that the democrats liked as ironically powerful. (Jackson had previously adopted the donkey image after his opponents used it to mock him, but Nast polularized it and he didn't know of the Jackson association.)

What are the stats on political party affiliation of soldiers in Iraq?
Looking for the political party affiliation statistics on our soldiers in Iraq or if they have been polled. Any links are appreciated. Thank you.

    • ANSWER:
Here are statitics to your satisfaction: http://www.csmonitor.com/2004/0921/p02s02-usmi.html

"Among officers, who represent roughly 15 percent of today's 1.4 million active duty military personnel, there are about eight Republicans for every Democrat, according to a 1999 survey by Duke University political scientist Peter Feaver. Enlisted personnel, however - a disproportionate number of whom are minorities, a population that tends to lean Democratic - are more evenly split. Professor Feaver estimates that about one third of enlisted troops are Republicans, one third Democrats, and the rest independents, with the latter group growing."

      That's about right.

By the way, when "The Military Times" polled troops on the last election, the results (as reported by the good Professor Feaver) looked like this: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A25656-2004Oct11.html

"By an astonishing 72 to 17 percent margin, the active-duty military personnel who took the survey favored Bush over Kerry (Guard and Reserve respondents favored Bush, 73 to 18 percent). Frankly, the margin greatly exceeds anything that I or any other analyst had expected."

However, that was the last election. It is now a whole new ballgame. And there are a lot of bitter, bitter, active duty servicemembers right now.

  39. QUESTION:
Can you have a state certified childcare facility with a Christian curriculum without a religious affiliation?
I need to know if a daycare center without a church affiliation or home can provide a Christian based curriculum? The owners are not all from the same church or even the same denomination and it will be a state certified program. There is no Pastor or other church leader involved and no one has any theological background except their own individual faith. Possible? Legal? The right choice?

    • ANSWER:
This really sound complicated but I'll try to give some in site. Certification of the teachers in this daycare must meet the educational training requirements to teach children at that age level. Each state has its own criteria. Now if the owners are from different church, what is the Christian doctrines that underline the curriculum? I other words what christian information is dispensed after math, P.E., English. It is possible that many school early on were established under the banner of Christian schools , but were more segregationist school than any thing else. Many were housed on the church property or used Church names, ex. Bellows Christian Academy, Faith of Our Lord Preschool.
The state does not require theological background to be a daycare teacher, just certification to do that job. Possible? yes. Anything is possible and this appears to be one of those things. However, I would like to know which denominational doctrines permeate the curriculum.
If you find that there is one orientation presented throughout the curriculum, I would say you have witnessed a miracle. It
could be simply a prayer whose prayer is any ones guess or teaching the theory of creation. Is it legal? I think it must be. There are far two many children involved. Im not sure of what you mean by "the right choice?"

first one should set down their own views. what is important to you personally. how do you feel about issues and possible solutions?

once you have defined you own set of values then you should see which party best fits your own moral and ethical views of life and government.

i always hope to vote for the candidate that i think will do the best for America and the majority...but sadly, most times i vote for the candidate that i feel will do the least harm rather than the most good. our choice are limited as most candidates are cut from the same mold regardless of what political party they espouse.

If a college has a specific religious affiliation, will they still accept someone of a different religion? I am interested in Lebanon Valley College, a Methodist school, but I am Jewish. Will they still accept me? If so, will I be forced to take Methodist classes and/or services
Looking further into it, I see LVC has a Hillel program. So, I'm guessing that not only do they accept Jews, but they don't make them feel out of place.

    • ANSWER:
Many schools will. Many school with religious affiliations actually have up to 30 percent of students from outside that religion. It depends on how conservative the school is.

Can a person with complete democrat ideals and views, claim republican affiliation? I know this question sounds silly- why would someone do that? However, the nature of the question though, is 'can' a person do that? Are their rules and regulation on a party affiliated title or is it just what you wish to claim?

You can claim any affiliation or none when you register. To vote in the primaries, you will have to name an affiliation though.

  49. QUESTION:
When someone is campaigning to be a local judge, why must they specify their party affiliation?
When someone is campaigning to be a local judge, why must they specify their party affiliation? Does it matter if they are a Republican or Democrat? Doesn't the fact that they are providing their party affiliation mean that they will filter the judgments through that lens? What about being impartial?

    • ANSWER:
Judges are supposed to judge according to existing laws and facts. However, today, many judges are "interpreting" laws to suit their political or moral agendas and making judgments accordingly instead of just enforcing those laws. So, to know their party affiliation helps guide us in that selection process. Theirs is not to interpret, that is left to our august Supreme Court, with whom I'm not impressed.

  50. QUESTION:
Would the liberal gene make political affiliation genetic?
There are other factors that can (but not always) contribute to a political affiliation. However, the word "gene" is the root word for "genetic".

    • ANSWER:
I think if genes played as big a role as some want us to believe, we wouldn't need parents. We could just have the babies and leave them in the woods to fend for themselves, like reptiles or something.
