  that means that when they find out that you're only 13, they get to keep all the money you think is yours.

  Well I have friends who merchant on e-bay which works quite well, you may want to try looking into that. But of course if selling really isn't your thing, you could always try making a website and listing it with google ads.
  If you make a website and it gets lots of views and clicks per month, then you can actually make a large sum of money (of course you need to start a popular website, get it know, and have it be unique so people will want to come to it. This could take awhile for it to really take off. But it is an idea).
  
  Free-lance is also another available option. You could take up scripting and offer services to script programs (some game servers will pay big bucks for this kind of thing). Personal websites would be interested as well. You could really offer services to anyone, you just have to come up with good ideas that they would want the service.
  
  Making graphic images for new companies could also be a thought. People are losing jobs and trying to start their own businesses, which would make them want decent Photoshop users to make Banners, logos, etc to help in their advertising.
  
  Game servers. This is a big one. There are free game engines out there to use which you can make a private server off of it. Infact I did this for awhile and made a good some of money. Of course this again takes awhile to get your server known, you have to know the game code, etc.
  
  Website design. Again, this requires some scripting knowledge and photoshop. This is where big money can come in. If you get known and good at designing websites with what people want, you can make some serious money. Some people pay anywhere from 0-1,000 dollars to have their website made (it can even go higher if your that well known in doing it). Adding special effects with scripting knowledge to the website would help (especually to code the site in PHP/HTML), and practicing at photoshop would be very helpful.
  
  If you like video games, sometimes if you level the account or get special items on your "character", you can sell them to make some money. Make sure it's legal with the game though, as in many I know of it's not.

  There are several ways to make money off the internet. My personal favourite is affiliate marketing but that is just one way.
  
  If you are running a blog the idea is also to run promotions for other peoples products and by referring them to a site such as Amazon then you will get a commission if they buy. There are also sites that will pay you if the visitor volunteers details such as an e-mail address so that they can then send them information.
  
  There are numerous different ways of monetising a website. Putting Google ads on is yet another possibility.
  
  Now to your original question "How do you make money off blogs?" The idea is that to make sales you obviously have to have visitors. These visitors have to be interested in what you have to say if you want them to be regular visitors and you have to offer them what they are looking for if you want to turn them into customers.
  
  To get visitors in the first place you need to have an internet presence that will show up on the search engines.
  Just as an example say you were running a website on photography. If people put "photography" into google search then millions of sites would show up (922,000,000 to be precise) and the chances of yours being found would be minute.
  However if you included a page on your site describing photography for pensioners then there are actually only 2 sites on google UK that have exactly that term in their title. A lot more show up if you put photography for pensioners but put it in "" and only 2 do. Now you have leverage to get to top of google. No good of course if nobody is searching for that term (Google statistics tells me that no one is) but you get the idea.
  
  You would then describe photographic books aimed at older people (there are some out there) and direct them to Amazon where they could buy them. Each page on your blog would be targeted at a different small part of the market where you have a far better chance of being found.
  
  Google like to see fresh useful content too so by regularly updating your blog and encouraging comment and interaction then you improve your ranking. There is far more to it than that of course but I think I have rambled on enough.

  Wow, the kind of question you are asking here makes you really vulnerable because people who are hungry for your money will be here presenting to you with many opportunities which some could be scam.
  
  Make sure you research for whatever opportunity that is presented to you before you decide to head on for it or even pay for a scam like me a couple of months ago. Just go to google and type in the "opportunity" followed by the word "scam".
  
  If things shows, it could be ugly...stay away from them...
